Currently attending Pittsburgh State University for a degree in secondary education with an emphasis in History/ Social Studies.

Experience

I currently have a subsitute teaching certificate. During high school I tutored for students in seventh and eighth grade. I received a 28 on the ACT which allowed me to begin my educational career at University of Missouri- Kansas City. I am interested in becoming a tutor so that I will have more experience with students when it comes time for me to do the student-teaching portion of my degree. I am able to take charge and be responsible for groups of people. During high school I was captain of the color guard and was in charge of scheduling practices, coming up with routines, and making sure everyone was at practices and events for three school years. My last year of high school I was a co-captain of the varsity cheer squad that I was apart of for three years. I have finished my general education requirements and have also taken 5 years of spanish. I am by no means fluent but can speak and write it if needed. I have taken quite a few history and geography courses ranging from Ancient Egypt to present and from general geography to world political geography. I was also the top in my class in Pre-Calculus my freshman year of college and have been excellent at math since elementary school.

Hobbies

I enjoy working outside and riding my horse whenever I can. But I also enjoy relaxing and reading as many books as possible. I love learning new things and learning about new cultures and people. I love being able to spend time with my family and would gladly do anything for them. I am very much a part of my community and enjoy going to church every Sunday and helping whereever and whenever I can.
